Say no to stress – follow these easy tips

1.      Sleep tight to stop stress build-up

If you tend to be stressed out from work/study, sleep is your best weapon to fight it. Every adult should have peaceful sleep for at least 8 hours a day. When you sleep, your body relaxes, getting rid of toxic hormones and regenerating the energy for the next day. People with high work load axe their sleep first from their life. However, inadequate sleep will lead to an inefficient body and an anxious mind. It can as well stop you from regular activity. If having eight hours of uninterrupted sleep is simply impossible, take power nap whenever you get a break from your work.

    2.      Eat and drink healthy

Changing your diet may help you with a fresh and tension free life. Stop indulging in junk foods; add whole grains, green vegetables, salads, fruits, milk, egg and fish oil enriched food in your dish. Instead of sugary snacks, munch nuts, almonds that will keep your anxiety hormones in control and keep your mind clean and active.

Also change your drinking habits. Reduce alcohol consumption and alter caffeine practice with organic tea. Green tea contains L-Theanine, a chemical compound that lowers the anger and anxiety.

3.      Do exercise/yoga/meditation

Exercise and yoga not only keep you fit but burst the tension piling up inside your head. It activates the release of endorphins that keep you happy and fresh. If you are unable to manage time for exercise or yoga, do meditation. Here simple breathing exercise makes you feel light.
